2022 Police Promotional Course

Sergeant - Lieutenant - Captain
This class is for the NJ Civil Service Police Lieutenant and Police Captain Promotional Exams that is expected to be announced in July of 2022 and tentatively administered in the FALL of 2022 and for the NJ Civil Service Police Sergeant Promotional Exam that is expected to be announced in October of 2022 and tentatively administered in the February of 2023.
Based on the latest announcements from Civil Service, we anticipate that our live (in-person) classes will be held as follows:
*** Lieutenants and Captains will attend live classes from early July (2022) through September (2022)
*** If the Sergeant's exam is announced, Sergeant candidates will attend live classes from October/November (2022) through January (2023)
Classes are located in Edison on Tuesday and Wednesday during each week of the course. Course participants can register to attend either our DAY or EVENING classes. When registering, candidates can select our ONLINE ONLY option which includes all of the materials being shipped to you throughout the course. NEW topics will be covered on each day of class. The tentative dates for the 2022 Police Promotional course can be found under the "Police" tab under "Police Course Schedule" or by clicking here.
We reserve the right to modify the class schedule based upon the actual exam announcements, executive orders or any other reason we feel it is necessary to do so.
ESPOS provides the MOST in-class instruction and our courses include ALL of the materials and books at no additional cost. There are no hidden costs. Course participants also receive a PRINT and ELECTRONIC copy of the NJ Law Enforcement Handbook Vol. 1, 2 & 3 (Case Law, Miranda, Statutory Law Analysis & AG Guidelines, Directives and Memos).
The 2022 NJ Law Enforcement Handbook will be shipped directly to you as soon as it is published. The three-volume set is normally published in early March. You will receive a separate email confirmation when the handbook is available and being shipped to you.

All of the classes for the 2022 Police Promotional Course will be at the Royal Grand Manor (previously named the Ellora) located at 2863 Woodbridge Ave, Edison, NJ 08837 unless indicated otherwise.
The fee for the course includes the following materials: 2022 Edition of the New Jersey Law Enforcement Handbook with ePub download for your smart device, the textbook cited on the New Jersey Civil Service Commission’s Orientation Guide, Title 2C, Title 39, Miranda/Confession Law, Legal Update Manual, NJ Attorney General Guidelines, relevant statutes and study guides for EVERY section of your exam. In addition, this course includes unlimited access to our online learning center, comprehensive practice tests and legal updates on the NJ Attorney General Guidelines, Title 2C and relevant case law until the exam is administered.
A copy of the 2022 Law Enforcement Handbook will be shipped directly to you once it is published and all other materials will be distributed during the course.
Our comprehensive review for the Captain's oral examination will be scheduled once the written exam date is set by the NJ CSC. Captain's candidates receive an extra whole-day class on how to specifically prepare and respond to this portion of the exam. Additionally, FOUR one-on-one PRIVATE practice sessions are scheduled that simulate the exam time and format. Each candidate will receive feedback from an assessor and have the ability to privately review their presentation after the session.
Please note: Although you may attend the day session OR the evening session during the course, we ask that you select the session that you will be attending most often when you complete the course registration.

REFUND POLICY: Any course participant that needs to withdraw from a PROMOTIONAL PREPARATION COURSE and is requesting a refund MUST advise ESPOS Test Prep LLC in writing (via email) PRIOR to accessing any online content or PRIOR to the start of the first live class, WHICHEVER OCCURS FIRST.
A refund request for the promotional preparation course may be provided less the cost of course materials and 5% of the course tuition. Withdrawal from any 1-day or 2-day IN-SERVICE TRAINING CLASS must be completed within 10 business days prior to the first class and may include a prorated refund less the class materials and a 5% fee.
Due to the extremely high demand and limited seating at our ENTRY-LEVEL classes, NO REFUNDS are allowed and there are no exceptions. Please note that we will not issue a refund for any person who does not properly withdraw and does not attend.
NO REFUNDS will be provided to any participants after the start of the first online or live class. Absolutely no refunds will be issued for the failure to adhere to the NO RECORDING POLICY or the STUDENT CODE OF CONDUCT.
While we always make every attempt to hold the classes on the scheduled dates, NO REFUNDS will be issued in the event that we have to postpone or alter the our schedule for any reason. In the event that a class is rescheduled, you will be able to attend the rescheduled class.
