2018 Exam Date Set for Police Lieutenants and Captains

The New Jersey Civil Service Commission has announced that the 2018 Police Lieutenant and Captain’s “examination will be administered on Thursday, October 11, 2018.”
They also announced that they are “providing candidates an opportunity to “self-select” a testing location for this administration.”
The NJ CSC also advised candidates that “Seating is limited at each location, so sign up early to ensure that you secure your preferred location. Sign up is on a first-come, first served basis.”
According to their announcement, “The “self-select” scheduling method will close on Thursday, August 30 at 11:45 PM. Candidates who do not participate in this method of scheduling will be automatically assigned a test location from the remaining available locations.”
A date for the oral portion of the Police CAPTAIN exam has been tentatively scheduled for December 6, 2018.
