Jurisdictions Testing for Police Sergeant in February of 2022 Announced

On October 1, 2021, the New Jersey Civil Service Commission (NJ CSC) announced promotional exams for Police Sergeant. This announcement is welcomed news for our members and comes several months after the NJ CSC first began administering promotional exams that were previously postponed because of the pandemic. Over the past several months, the NJ CSC has successfully administered exams with some precautionary measures in place.
According to their October 1st announcement, eligible personnel in the below listed jurisdictions who apply will be scheduled to take their exam in February of 2022. The applications are available on the NJ CSC’s website and must be submitted online by 4:00 p.m. om October 21, 2021. According to the announcement, this will be a two-part examination with a video and multiple-choice format.
